Boyd v. Sonora Estates, LLC CA3
By
11:30:2018

By a first amended complaint, 39 residents of the Sonora Estates Mobilehome Park (the Park) sued Sonora Estates and six other defendants for damages based on defendants’ alleged failure to maintain the Park’s common areas, facilities and physical improvements in good working order, and for reducing services.

Description Defendant Sonora Estates, LLC, appeals from denial of its motion to compel arbitration. (Code Civ. Proc., § 1294, subd. (a).) The trial court gave several independent reasons to deny the motion to compel, one of which was that Sonora Estates had failed to carry its burden to show the existence of valid arbitration agreements. On appeal, Sonora Estates fails to challenge this dispositive finding. Accordingly, we affirm without addressing Sonora Estates’ remaining contentions.
