I. INTRODUCTION
Defendants, John R. Calvert and Wildwood Canyon Estates, LLC,[1] appeal from an order denying their Code of Civil Procedure section 425.16 special motion to strike. Defendants have failed to sustain the initial burden of proof. We affirm the order.
II. BACKGROUND
Mr. Calvert, through his company, Wildwood Canyon Estates, LLC, owns 46 acres of property in the City of Santa Clarita. Plaintiff, Green Crest Drive Homeowners' Association, is an unincorporated association. Plaintiff's attorney is Robert D. Crockett. Mr. Crockett owns a six-acre property that abuts defendants' property. Mr. Crockett lives on the property with his wife and nine children. He is a member of plaintiff.
