Hollywood Entertainment Corporation (Hollywood) appeals from an order denying its motion to compel arbitration of employment-related claims filed against it by Jessica Huskey (Huskey). Hollywood argues that the arbitration agreement signed by Huskey when she accepted employment with Hollywood complied with the standards expressed in Armendariz v. Foundation Health Psychcare Services, Inc. (2000) 24 Cal.4th 83 (Armendariz) and was not otherwise unconscionable. Having reviewed the law in this area, and for reasons explained below, we find that the arbitration agreement in this case is enforceable. We therefore reverse the trial court's order.


BACKGROUND


On January 24, 2005, plaintiff Jessica Huskey was hired as a general service representative by Hollywood. Hollywood requires all new employees to sign an arbitration agreement as a condition of employment. Huskey signed a one-page agreement entitled â€
