In re ALEX M., a Person Coming Under the Juvenile Court Law.

THE PEOPLE,

Plaintiff and Respondent,

v.

ALEX M.,

Defendant and Appellant.

C048060

(Super. Ct. No. J61390)

Following a contested jurisdictional hearing, the juvenile court sustained a charge of robbery (Pen. Code, § 211) against Alex M., a 16-year-old minor. The minor was placed on probation and ordered, among other things, to pay $2,380 in restitution to the victim, a 2 percent restitution collection fee, and a $20 court security fee.

On appeal, the minor contends that neither the 2 percent collection fee nor the $20 court security fee are authorized. The People claim the 2 percent restitution collection fee was properly imposed as a condition of probation, but agree that the security fee must be stricken. We conclude that neither fee was authorized and shall order both stricken.
