1. Introduction[1]


Jack Cochran[2] appeals the trial court's order, granting him reimbursement from his former wife, Lucy Cochran, of 20 percent instead of one-half for administrative expenses incurred by him in a disciplinary proceeding before the Medical Board of California. In addition, he challenges the trial court awarding him $903.22 in reimbursement for overpayment of spousal support arrearages while simultaneously ordering him to pay Lucy $903.22 for attorney's fees and costs.


We agree the trial court correctly allocated the administrative expenses between the parties based on its calculation of the benefit to the community. Further, the court did not abuse its discretion in awarding the amount of spousal support arrearages to Lucy as fees and costs. We affirm the judgment.


2. Factual and Procedural Background


The parties were married on July 5, 1981; they separated on May 16, 1995; their divorce became final on May 17, 2002. The judgment reserved for further consideration the following issue: â€
