Lucion Banks was arrested for murder based on statements from a witness. Upon his arrest, the police found bags of cocaine, a weight scale, and a firearm in his car. Defendant moved to suppress evidence seized upon his arrest, and the motion was denied. (Pen. Code, § 1538.5.) Defendant pleaded no contest to possessing cocaine for sale while armed and admitted a prior robbery conviction, in exchange for which the prosecution dismissed all other charges. (Health & Saf. Code, § 11351.5; Pen. Code, §§ 1170.12, subd. (c)(1), 12022, subd. (c).)
