IN THE COURT OF APPEAL OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
SECOND APPELLATE DISTRICT
DIVISION SIX
THE PEOPLE, Plaintiff and Respondent, v. NICK AARON BOURGOYNE, Defendant and Appellant. | 2d Crim. No. B186299 (Super. Ct. No. 2005019174) (Ventura County)
|
Nick Aaron Bourgoyne appeals the judgment following his guilty plea to two counts of attempted robbery. (Pen. Code, §§ 211, 664.)[1] He also admitted that he personally used a firearm in the commission of those offenses. (§§ 12022.5, subd. (a), 12022.53, subd. (b).) Pursuant to his plea agreement, Bourgoyne was sentenced to a state prison term of 24 years 4 months.
We appointed counsel to represent Bourgoyne in this appeal. After reviewing the record, counsel filed an opening brief raising no issues and requesting that this court independently examine the record pursuant to People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436.
On February 28, 2006, we advised Bourgoyne that he had 30 days in which to submit a written brief or letter stating any contentions or arguments he wished us to consider. We received no response.
We have reviewed the entire record and are satisfied that Bourgoyne's attorney has fully complied with his responsibilities and that no arguable issues exist. (People v. Wende, supra, 25 Cal.3d at p. 441.)
The judgment is affirmed.
