IN THE COURT OF APPEAL OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

SECOND APPELLATE DISTRICT

DIVISION ONE

THE PEOPLE,

Plaintiff and Respondent,

v.

TERRENCE COLE,

Defendant and Appellant.

B184117

(Los Angeles County

Super. Ct. No. TA078380)

APPEAL from a judgment of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, Jack W. Morgan, Judge. Affirmed.

Janice Wellborn, under appointment by the Court of Appeal, for Defendant and Appellant.

No appearance for Plaintiff and Respondent.

_____________________________

After his motion to suppress evidence was denied, Terrence Cole agreed to plead no contest to one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, with a low term sentence of 16 months. (Pen. Code, §§ 1538.5; 12021, subd. (a)(1).)[1] The trial court sentenced Cole according to the plea agreement and imposed the required fines. (§§ 1202.4, subd. (b); 1465.8, subd. (a)(1).) Cole filed a notice of appeal and we appointed counsel to represent him. Cole's lawyer filed an opening brief in which no issues were raised and on February 15, 2006, we sent a letter to Cole notifying him that he had 30 days within which to advise us of any issues he wanted us to consider. Cole did not respond. We have independently reviewed the record and are satisfied that no arguable issues exist. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436.)

The judgment is affirmed.

NOT TO BE PUBLISHED.
