IN THE COURT OF APPEAL OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

SECOND APPELLATE DISTRICT

DIVISION FIVE

THE PEOPLE,

Plaintiff and Respondent,

v.

JUSTIN SAGISAGI FIELD,

Defendant and Appellant.

B287985

(Los Angeles County

Super. Ct. No. VA141670)

APPEAL from judgment of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, Roger T. Ito, Judge. Affirmed.

Eric E. Reynolds, under appointment by the Court of Appeal, for Defendant and Appellant.

No appearance for Plaintiff and Respondent.

_______________________

The jury found defendant and appellant Justin Sagisagi Field guilty of two counts of assault by means likely to cause great bodily injury (Pen. Code, § 245 [counts 4 and 5])[1] and one count of battery with serious bodily injury (§ 243, subd. (d) [count 6].) It found true the allegation that Field personally inflicted great bodily injury. (§ 12022.7, subd. (a).)

The trial court sentenced Field to seven years in prison, including the middle term of three years in count 5, plus three years for the great bodily injury enhancement, plus one year (one-third the middle term) in count 4. The court imposed and stayed a sentence of two years in count 6 pursuant to section 654.

Field filed a notice of appeal following jury trial. We appointed counsel on appeal. On August 28, 2018, counsel filed a brief pursuant to People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436, raising no issues but asking this court to independently review the record for error.

We advised Field on August 29, 2018, of his right to file a brief or letter containing any issues he wishes this court to consider. No response has been received to date.

We have examined the entire record and find no arguable issues on appeal. (Smith v. Robbins (2000) 528 U.S. 259, 278–284; People v. Wende, supra, 25 Cal.3d at p. 441.)

The judgment is affirmed.

MOOR, J.

We concur:

BAKER, Acting P.J.

SEIGLE, J.*
