Appellant, Maricruz Galaviz, pled no contest to first degree murder (Pen. Code, § 187). On December 23, 2004, the court sentenced Galaviz to an indeterminate sentence of 25 years to life.

Galaviz's appellate counsel has filed a brief which summarizes the facts, with citations to the record, raises no issues, and asks this court to independently review the record. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436.) However, in a letter filed in this court, on April 5, 2006, Galaviz raises two issues that are not cognizable on appeal because they rely on facts outside of the record. (People v. Cooks (1983) 141 Cal.App.3d 224, 310.)

Further, following independent review of the record, we find that no reasonably arguable factual or legal issues exist.

The judgment is affirmed.
