Robert Edward Lee appeals from the judgment sending him to prison for 33 years to life after a jury found he committed an aggravated assault on Dwight Storay, his parole officer, battered that officer--inflicting serious bodily injury--resisted and deterred an executive officer and made criminal threats. (See Pen. Code, §§ 69, 243, subd. (d), 245, subd. (c), 422.)[1] The jury also found he personally inflicted great bodily injury when he assaulted Storay. (See § 12022.7, subd. (a).)
