Defendant Rebecca Ellen Marler entered a negotiated plea of guilty to driving or taking a vehicle (Veh. Code, § 10851) in exchange for no state prison at the outset and dismissal of another count. The court granted probation for a term of three years subject to certain terms and conditions including 30 days in county jail.
Defendant appeals. She did not obtain a certificate of probable cause (Pen. Code, § 1237.5).
We appointed counsel to represent defendant on appeal. Counsel filed an opening brief that sets forth the facts of the case and requests this court to review the record and determine whether there are any arguable issues on appeal. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436.) Defendant was advised by counsel of the right to file a supplemental brief within 30 days of the date of filing of the opening brief.
Defendant filed a supplemental brief claiming she did not commit a crime; she had permission from the owner to drive the car, and entered the plea agreement under duress.
