Defendant Nasir Ibramin Mohamud pled guilty to two sets of drug charges in 1996[1] and was given concurrent three-year grants of formal probation on condition that he serve one year in the county jail, report to the probation officer within three days of his release, and other terms. On his release in 1997, he was deported to Somalia; he did not contact the probation department. Probation was summarily revoked on February 5, 1998.
