Debra Sangster appeals from a final judgment of conviction following a jury trial in San Mateo County. Appellant's court-appointed counsel has filed a brief raising no legal issues and asking this court to conduct an independent review of the record pursuant to People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436.

Appellant was charged with possession of methamphetamine for sale (Health & Saf. Code, § 11378) in an information that also alleged that appellant has possessed for sale or sold 28.5 grams or more of methamphetamine, or 57 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine. (Pen. Code, § 1203.073, subd. (b)(2).)
Trial commenced on August 16, 2005. Two days later, the jury returned a verdict of guilty and found true the allegation. At the sentencing hearing on October 6, 2005, appellant's counsel emphasized that her crime was the result of her own chronic addiction, she was in need of rehabilitation that could not adequately be provided in prison, and that appellant suffered chronic leg pain, had difficulty walking, and was in immediate need of knee replacement surgery.
