IN THE COURT OF APPEAL OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

SECOND APPELLATE DISTRICT

DIVISION SIX

THE PEOPLE,

Plaintiff and Respondent,

v.

ANTHONY SINGLETON,

Defendant and Appellant.

2d Crim. No. B183429

(Super. Ct. No. A380459)

(Los Angeles County)

Anthony Singleton appeals from an order denying his petition for writ of error coram nobis, seeking immediate release from state prison.

We appointed counsel to represent Singleton in this appeal. After reviewing the record, counsel filed an opening brief raising no issues and requesting that this court independently examine the record pursuant to People v. Wende(1979) 25 Cal.3d 436.

On February 22, 2006, we advised Singleton that he had 30 days in which to submit a written brief or letter stating any contentions or arguments he wished us to consider. We have received a response from Singleton asserting that he is entitled to be released from prison because he has served 23 years under a plea agreement in which he agreed to a sentence of " not less than 15 years nor more than life for second degree murder."

We have reviewed the entire record and are satisfied that Singleton's attorney has fully complied with his responsibilities and that no arguable issues exist. (People v. Wende, supra, 25 Cal.3d at p. 441.)

The order is affirmed.

NOT TO BE PUBLISHED.

PERREN, J.

We concur:
