Appellant Jose Luis Torres appeals from a judgment after a plea of no contest to one count of Penal Code section 288.5, subdivision (a) (continuous sexual abuse of a child), and one count of Penal Code section 288, subdivision (a) (felony lewd act upon a child), each count involving the molestation of a different stepdaughter. The plea was with the understanding that the other counts alleging similar crimes against the same victims would be dismissed and he would be sentenced to nine years in state prison, the sentence that was accordingly later imposed.
