A jury convicted defendant Charles Anthony Wallace of kidnapping (Pen. Code, § 207, subd. (a) -- count one), making criminal threats (§ 422 -- count two),[1] willful infliction of corporal injury on a former cohabitant (§ 273.5, subd. (a) -- count three) and misdemeanor assault (§ 240 -- count four). In a separate proceeding, the jury found true the allegation defendant had a prior conviction for first degree burglary (§ 459) within the meaning of the Three Strikes law.
The court sentenced defendant to 10 years in prison: the middle term of five years for kidnapping in count one, doubled for the â€
