Plaintiff and appellant tried to buy a nightclub. Thereafter, plaintiff brought a lawsuit alleging fraud. The jury rendered a verdict against appellant. Appellant appeals from the subsequently entered judgment. Appellant raises a number of contentions ranging from judicial bias to evidentiary errors. Court finds none of his contentions warrant reversal. Court affirm.

The controlling issue in this appeal is whether the evidence appellant presented in opposition to the motion was sufficient to show that Respondent was estopped from denying indemnification and estopped from seeking return of the funds. Court hold that the trial court erred in rejecting the estoppel argument and thus, court reverse.

Appeal from the judgment entered following appellant's plea of no contest to possessing cocaine for sale following the denial of a suppression motion. The court sentenced appellant to prison for two years. In this case, this court conclude the court did not err by only partially granting appellant's motion to unseal the affidavit supporting a search warrant, or by denying his motions to quash the warrant and suppress evidence.

Plaintiffs and appellants Richard as Trustee of the Barbara Taub Trust own an apartment building. One of their tenants petitioned defendant and respondent the Santa Monica Rent Control Board (the Board) for a rent decrease based on, among other things an alleged loss of parking.

A jury convicted Defendant of committing a lewd act upon a child. The trial court imposed consecutive sentences on the four counts, resulting in a prison sentence of 12 years. Defendant argues that the imposition of consecutive sentences violated the proscription against multiple punishment for a single act. Court concluded that defendant's argument lacks merit, and accordingly, court affirms.
