IN THE COURT OF APPEAL OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

SECOND APPELLATE DISTRICT

DIVISION THREE

THE PEOPLE,

Plaintiff and Respondent,

v.

ALBERT PERRYMEN,

Defendant and Appellant.

B185057

(Los Angeles County

Super. Ct. No. KA070468)

APPEAL from a judgment of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County,

Robert M. Martinez, Judge. Affirmed.

Rodney Richard Jones, under appointment by the Court of Appeal, for Defendant and Appellant.

No appearance for Plaintiff and Respondent.

_________________________

Albert Perryman, Jr., appeals the judgment entered after conviction by jury of carjacking, robbery and evading a peace officer with willful disregard for the safety of persons or property. (Pen. Code, §§ 215, subd. (a), 211; Veh. Code, § 2800.2, subd. (a).) The trial court sentenced Perryman to a term of five years and eight months in state prison.

We appointed counsel to represent Perryman on this appeal. After examination of the record, counsel filed an opening brief which raised no issues and requested this court to conduct an independent review of the record. We granted Perryman an extension of time to April 17, 2006, to submit any contention, ground of appeal or argument he wished this court to consider. No response has been received to date.

We have examined the entire record and are satisfied Perryman's counsel has complied fully with counsel's responsibilities. (Smith v. Robbins (2000) 528 U.S. 259, 278-284 [145 L.Ed.2d 756]; People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436, 443.)

DISPOSITION
