SAN FRANCISCO DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES, Plaintiff and Respondent, v. M. R., Defendant and Appellant. | A108980, A111661 (San Francisco County Super. Ct. No. JD03-3235) |
Wesley R. was adjudged a dependent of the juvenile court and removed from the custody of his mother, appellant M.R. (Mother), upon findings of maternal neglect. (Welf. & Inst. Code, § 300, subd. (b) [all further section references are to this code except as noted].) Following a review hearing, the court placed 12-year-old Wesley with the child's previously noncustodial father, Jeffrey R. (Father), and retained jurisdiction. (§ 366.21.) Mother appealed that ruling (A108980). Dependency proceedings continued pending appeal and, in a subsequent action, the juvenile court terminated dependency jurisdiction and granted Father sole legal and physical custody of Wesley, with visitation for Mother. (§ 361.2, subd. (b)(1).) Mother appealed the court's final custody order (A111661). We consolidated the two appeals for decision. Upon finding no abuse of discretion by the juvenile court, we affirm its orders.
