Respondent Janea Chadwick (Chadwick) and appellant Jay Graydon (Graydon) were romantically involved and lived together for numerous years. When their relationship ended, a contentious lawsuit ensued. Although the parties were able to settle their dispute, Graydon refused to execute the previously-agreed upon release, contending that the release did not preclude him from pursuing certain â€
