Levell Wallace appeals his conviction following a plea of no contest to possession of a firearm by an ex-felon. (Pen. Code, § 12021, subd. (a)(1).)[1] He contends the court erred in denying his motion to suppress evidence and in ordering him to pay costs of appointed counsel.
BACKGROUND
The background facts are taken from the preliminary hearing. Uniformed Richmond Police Officers Amy Bublak and Martin Schoenberg went to 578 5th Street in response to a â€
