Super. Ct. No. CK58349)

LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES,

Plaintiff and Respondent,

v.

D. D.,

Defendant and Appellant.

APPEAL from an order of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, Sherri S. Sobel, Referee. Dismissed.

Merrill Lee Toole, under appointment by the Court of Appeal, for Defendant and Appellant.

No appearance for Plaintiff and Respondent.

D. D. (mother) appealed from a juvenile court order dated May 9, 2006, terminating parental rights as to the child K. W., and denying a Welfare and Institutions Code section 388 petition. We appointed counsel to represent mother in this appeal.

On July 1, 2006, counsel for mother notified this court in writing pursuant to In re Sade C. (1996) 13 Cal.4th 952 that, after examining the complete record, counsel was unable to file an opening brief.

On July 5, 2006, this court advised mother through her counsel that she must submit to this court within 30 days any grounds, contentions, or arguments that she wishes this court to consider. Mother failed to do so. She therefore abandons this appeal, and the appeal is dismissed. (In re Sade C., supra, 13 Cal.4th at p. 994.)

DISPOSITION
