Description Following a jury trial, defendant Lionel David Carpenter was convicted of kidnapping (Pen. Code, § 207, subd. (a)), inflicting corporal injury on his ex-girlfriend (§ 273.5), and criminal threats (§ 422). The trial court sustained two strike allegations (§§ 667, subd. (d), 1170.12) and sentenced defendant to 50 years to life plus 4 years.
