“Debra requests her reasonable appellate attorney fees and costs under Welfare and Institutions Code section 15657.5, subdivision (a). As we noted in the concurrently filed companion appeal Debra R. Kalfin v. Judith A. Kalfin (Oct. 15, 2013, G047275) [nonpub. opn.], as prevailing party Debra is entitled to an award of costs and attorney fees incurred on appeal, which includes the costs and fees incurred in defending the judgment and the attorney fees award, in an amount to be determined by the trial court. (Evans v. Unkow (1995) 38 Cal.App.4th 1490, 1499 [‘statute authorizing an attorney fee award at the trial court level includes appellate attorney fees unless the statute specifically provides otherwise’]; Sebago, Inc. v. City of Alameda (1989) 211 Cal.App.3d 1372, 1388 [party who successfully defends an award of attorney fees is entitled to appellate attorney fees as well].)”
