Petitioner-respondent (wife) and respondent-appellant (husband) were in the process of marriage dissolution when wife filed a petition in the trial court for a restraining order under the Domestic Violence Prevention Act (DVPA) (Fam. Code, § 6200 et seq.). The trial court denied an initial temporary restraining order pending a hearing on the matter.
