Appellant was convicted with first degree burglary, having a concealed firearm in a vehicle, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm, and receiving stolen property. Appellant was sentenced to a term of imprisonment totaling six years and eight months. Appellant appeals contending that the trial court erred in failing to instruct the jury with CALJIC Nos. 2.70 and 2.72, which would have informed it, respectively, that evidence of a defendant’s oral admissions or confession must be viewed “‘with caution,’” and that the corpus delicti of a crime must be proved independently of the defendant’s admissions or confession.
