In re Mia J. CA2/1
Claudia A. (mother) gave birth to two children, Mia, who is now more than three years old, and Scarlett, who died in December 2016 when she was two months old. After Scarlett’s death, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) filed a petition alleging Mia was a child described by Welfare and Institutions Code section 300, charging, in part, that mother and father had caused Scarlett’s death by bed-sharing (also known as co-sleeping) with the child. We affirm.
