P. v. Macedon CA4/1
APPEAL from an order of the Superior Court of Riverside County, John D. Molloy, Judge. Affirmed.
Jean Ballantine, under appointment by the Court of Appeal, for Defendant and Appellant.
No appearance by Plaintiff and Respondent.
In 2014, defendant Corey Lamont Macedon pleaded guilty to first degree special circumstance murder. In December 2020, he filed a petition for resentencing under Penal Code section 1170.95. In January 2021, the trial court summarily denied the petition on the ground defendant was statutorily ineligible. Defendant appealed. Unable to identify any arguable issues, appellate counsel has sought independent review of the record pursuant to People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436 (Wende) and Anders v. California (1967) 386 U.S. 738 (Anders). Affirmed.
