Following a combined jurisdiction and disposition hearing, the juvenile court issued an order exercising jurisdiction over minor L.C. but allowing her father (Father) to retain custody. Orange County Social Services Agency (SSA) later filed a petition to modify this order under Welfare and Institutions Code section 387. It alleged the prior order was ineffective in protecting L.C. and sought to remove her from Father’s custody. The court sustained the petition, and it later found at a separate disposition hearing that removal of L.C. was warranted.
